Does this sound like your house?
You're not bad with money. Nobody ever taught the two of you how to talk about money together.

Picture your house a year from now.
Go on the vacation. Send the kids to camp. Give to your church. That's a Great Big Beautiful Life.
Haven't talked about money in a year? Start here.
A free live class on Zoom, once a week: How to Talk With Your Spouse (and Yourself) About Money and Still Like Each Other. Whether you come together or on your own, this is where the money talk gets easier.
In about an hour, I'll walk you through the 15-Minute Money Date. That's a short, regular money talk with your husband that actually ends. You'll leave with five steps and a day on the calendar for your first one.
Come live and stay to the end. There's an offer in class you won't find on this website.
You'll also get my newsletter. Unsubscribe anytime.

I have an accounting degree from Baylor, 20+ years of budgeting with my husband, and I used to teach elementary PE. When a kid told me, "I can't tie my shoes," I'd add one word: "yet." Now couples tell me, "We can't talk about money without fighting." I add the same word. Coaching in Scottsdale and nationwide.

Generational Transformation
Most couples find me right before something big: a first baby, a first house, a wedding. Or money shows up, a raise or an inheritance, and they're afraid of getting it wrong.
Here's what 12 months of coaching look like.
Discover (Month 1). We start with the question most couples skip: where do we actually want our money to go?
Align (Months 2 to 4). A spending plan you both agree to, and a simple way to track where the money goes.
Build (Months 5 and 6). You set aside money for the next surprise, so a car repair doesn't turn into a fight. Then you pick your next big goal together, like paying off a card or saving for a house, and put money toward it every month.
Transform (Months 7 to 9). We look at the habits underneath the money: the money stories you each grew up with, and what sends you to the Amazon cart.
Multiply (Months 10 to 12). You build something that lasts, and teach your kids to do the same.

Questions couples ask before they start
How is this different from a financial advisor?
A financial advisor helps you decide where to put the money you have. I help you build it in the first place: the habits, the money conversations, and the money stories you each grew up with. My goal is for you to need a financial advisor someday.
What happens in the free class?
It's about an hour, live on Zoom. I'll walk you through the 15-Minute Money Date, five steps for a money talk that doesn't end in a fight. Come on your own or bring your husband.
What if my husband isn't sure about coaching?
That's normal. Most couples have one person who's ready and one who isn't sure yet. Start with the free class, on your own or together. You'll leave with five steps you can try this week, even if he doesn't come with you. When one of you changes how you show up, the whole money conversation changes.
We've tried apps and books. Why would this be different?
An app or a book can show you where the money went. It can't sit with the two of you when that conversation turns into a fight. That conversation is the part I help with.
Do we need to be in debt, or have a lot saved?
Neither. Some couples come to me with credit card debt they're ready to pay off. Others just got a raise or an inheritance and don't want to get it wrong. If you can't cover this month's bills, coaching isn't the right first step, and I'll help you find what is.
What if we've tried budgeting before and it didn't stick?
Most budgets fall apart because one person built them, for a month with no surprises. We build yours together, for the life you actually have.
